Welcome to International Montessori Preschool, designed to nurture your children with us in this safe, beautifully designed environment, to share and to celebrate your child's developmental milestones with us. Our Preschool is open to children from 1.6 to 4 years of age and is beautifully designed to have a "home away from home" concept, this helps with an easy transition and provides a stepping stone for a future school setting.
We believe in inspiring children to be creative through arts, music and movement. Our daily routine reflects singing, dancing and playing instruments. Here at IMP, books are a gateway for exploring everything around us, countries cultures, travelling, animals and much more.
The Montessori Mathematics Program helps the child develop the foundational basics needed to have a concrete and comprehensive understanding of math in the future. Dr. Maria Montessori designed materials to allow children to understand concepts such as tracing numbers on sandpaper letters, counting red rods, sorting objects, sequencing, matching, grading from largest to smallest, mastering various shapes and many other concepts to help prepare them indirectly for future complex activities.
The potential of developing senses during the formative years is greater than any other time in a child’s life, hence the sensorial environment in a Montessori classroom allows children to absorb the senses through the prepared environment. Sensorial education gives the child the framework to perceive through their senses such as dimension, colors, texture, form, sound and scent.
Children learn to register and connect alphabets phonetically through sand paper letters, this helps them identify sounds in a graphic form. While children are still in their tactile stage of development these sand paper letters help integrate multi-sensory learning for children by touch, sight and sound.
The culture and Science Curriculum is divided into 5 main categories; namely, Zoology, Botany, Geography, Science and History. Each category helps children interpret and absorb the world around them.
Care of self, Care of the environment, body movements and Courtesy. These activities are a series of motor activities that involve daily, practical, real life goals.
